LJ Designs independent sewing patterns were founded in Reno, Nevada, by designer Lyla J. Messinger in the mid-1990s (with early copyrights appearing around 1996). The brand specializes in comfortable, creative, and fluid casual separates, jackets, wraps, and accessories designed to flatter a wide range of body types.
